My friend, CH sent me an interesting calculation…
At the closing of the poll, it was reported about 65% of the voters turned out (Malaysiakini even reported this piece of info being quoted by Election Commission secretary Kamaruzaman at 6.55pm). But in the end, Election Commission reported that the actual turnout was about 80%. That’s 15% of [...]

During the polling day at Teluk Wang, there was a sole Gerakan member who presumably was a voter at the polling centre there. I respect his loyalty to racist UMNO (I mean, they were the ones who shouted “Cina mati” at us), he even led in the cheer a few times…way to go bro!
Anyway, this [...]

I got this nice little statitistical data on email this morning…The turnout was almost the same during 308 GE and 826 BE with only 477 voters lesser on 826 BE, but UMNO suffered a greater lost compared to 308! Arif Shah’s vote was 1426 lesser than what UMNO received earlier in March. And Anwar Ibrahim [...]

An intense week of campaigning just ended for me…
I was on duty at the Teluk Wang polling district for the P44 Pmtng Pauh By-Election since about 8 am this morning. Some interesting observations:
1. Although there were waves of blue Barisan Nasional posters and flags everywhere, the presence of a single race Malay supporters in Arif [...]

I met with my old fren Chris today, he is volunteering with Mafrel to monitor the P44 BE. We went out for dinner together with another key Mafrel leader, BK Ong. It was good meeting with Chris again, after dinner he showed me some photos taken by Mafrel volunteers worthy to match the Puteris in [...]

Some tit-bits on P44 by-election
1. I was working on Nomination Day - had to launch two events on the island - so I missed the fun at the Nomination centre. My comrades were all there and they reported about 70% of the tens of thousands (some said 30k, some said 100k, most news paper said [...]

PR and BN said there’ll be about 100, 000 people at the Nomination Centre tomorrow. It’ll be helluva logistic nightmare…Two entry points to the Maktab Perguruan Tengku Bainun are the Butterworth-Kulim Highway, and Jalan Berapit (from Bkt. Mertajam).
The green arrow is the entry into the road leading up to the Maktab (marked by the blue A buble). There [...]

As we are all watching the news anxiously on the eve of the eve of the P44 by-election nomination day, an election which evidently is the greatest event in Malaysia since Tunku Abdul Rahman raised his hand and cried the unforgettable “Merdeka!” into fresh Malayan air half a century ago, I am thinking: Is it [...]

Old Man Lah and his gang said they are not boycotting Pakatan Rakyat states and people. Cakap tak serupa bikin…
We have many times expressed our intention to cooperate with Federal Government especially in terms of youth and sports development. And on paper and when met, they say “sure no problem!” but behind us, Barisan Nasional [...]
