I spent the last two days commuting to Kepala Batas (PM’s area!) for the inaugural Penang Pesta Lion Dance Competition. The event was jointly organized by the Penang State Tourism Committee and the Persatuan Sukan & Kebudayaan Tionghua Kepala Batas Pulau Pinang.
Unfortunately, I don’t have videos or even much photos on the event, but, o’ [...]

Do we have freedom and rights over our own life? I think deep inside us, we all don’t really bother…
Total freedom, that’s wishful thinking…
But what about the master psychologist Victor Franckl who wrote:
“We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They [...]

Dato Azhar Ibrahim’s statement in the Star (Starmetro, 16 December 2008) is irresponsible and does not reflect the calibre of an able leader to lead the Opposition front in the Penang State Government.
He criticized the Penang State Government as being bankrupt of ideas for promoting I-Dance campaign as a tourist attraction - his words as reported [...]

I woke up at about 6am and travel across the bridge to Penang island and ran from one event to another, for two days over the weekends!
Saturday was a little boring though, press conference, forum, judo competition (there was the consolation of seeing ppl knock down one another though), dinner…
Sunday was even more packed than [...]

Last Friday, I received a letter from Dewan Pemuda PAS Pulau Pinang (Penang PAS Youth Wing) objecting to a program called IDance Campaign endorsed by the Penang State Government under the Youth and Sports Exco Office. We accepted the objection raised and wanted to meet with the Dewan Pemuda to hear out their stance and [...]

Stories from the high society of Dato-Dato (Malaysia’s equivalent to “Sir”, I guess) for the past week…
Dato’ Zaid Ibrahim, the famed founding partner of ZICO and an UMNO member, attended PKR National Congress and (with lesser press coverage) the 10,000-guest Penang DAP Victory Dinner last week.
Dato’ Yong Teck Lee, President of SAPP, BN’s [former?] component party [...]

Anyway, Dato’ Freddie Choong, president of the club [...]
