What I Did On Inauguration Day?

Freezing my cheeks roaming Washington DC with 2 million Americans…

… and with YB Hannah Yeoh, of course (Subang Jaya, you’ve got one great ADUN there! Syabas!).
Millions of Americans came to be inspired, and millions around the world watch on TV and over the Internet one of the most inspiring moments of our times. (JR and some friends in Malaysia watched the whole thing on Facebook-CNN). It felt so good just being here…I’ll write more about this in my third Obama Future installment (btw, Msiakini is publishing the edited version of the Obama Future here)
But it’s not all about serious American idealism, we curi some time off to indulge ourselves with a lil’, just a lil’ American consumerism (hey, both of us signed human rights petition at the AI booth to atone for that little consumerism sin ok!)

“I have a dream…of my hubby wearing this yellow shirt,” YB Hannah Yeoh.
After a walkabout and getting the chillllll and feeeeeeeellll of the electrifying moment being part of history in making, I retreated back to a conference room booked by Dept. of States with the other International Guests to watch the show on big screen, in warm cozy comfort.

With hot coffee and snacks and friends and colleagues and facebook and msn with JR from across the seas. Great morning ’twas.
check out YB Hannah’s post on the Inauguration morning as well, here.
