Penang Shooting Club & Going To Singapore

I was at the Kelab Menembak Pulau Pinang (Penang Shooting Club) beside the Botanical Garden today. It was a new experience to witness “flying target” shooting live. The closest I got to this was playing it on video games years ago, the one where you shoot flying ducks.

Anyway, Dato’ Freddie Choong, president of the club and one time national shooter, was there to greet us with his team. He even demonstrated his pistol shooting.

The whole experience was a little tensed, with live bullets, very sensitive trigger, loud gunshot “bang” and the little inertia jerk after every shots. How come Hollywood did it so casually.

I was there

Anyway, after a very long delay, JR and I finally booked our holidays to Singapore this Christmas. Our itinerary is as follow:

Departure                        : 23/12/2008  10:00   Kuala Lumpur – Kuala Lumpur LCCT [KUL]
Return                           : 26/12/2008  18:20   Singapore – Changi International Airport [SIN]

We’ll be staying at somewhere called Fragrance Hotel (sounds … corny) in Geylang (what you expect lah in Geylang).

Hopefully can meet up with Joshua and PY and the good folks down south, many whom I have only interacted online. So blogpastor and Dr Alex Tang, here I come. Hopefully we’ll be able to meet up. And perhaps meeting with xiaxue, Sg’s national symbol too…

Of course, we look forward to doing the tourist thing as well since this is the first time JR will be visiting Sg. Masih ada Har Par Villa in Sg kah?
