Leon managed to convince me to part with my Dopod 818 pro and get a new baby - he was the one who talked me into buying the Dopod last year. But anyway, he didn’t need to try very hard on this new princess - Samsung i780. I had wanted to get a PDA phone with keyboards ala Blackberry. Something which I can (ahem) use to handle with one hand while the other hand is busy with something else…

And i780 is the perfect piece of technological art

With a QWERTY keyboard, touch screen (HTC touch flow type), stylus and suprise suprise…

See the black piece of thing in between the Windows logo and “ok” button, it’s a MOUSE PAD (!). A touch sensitive little piece of mouse pad which can function as a four directional button as well.

Now that’ll definitely free my hand from using the stylus and I don’t have to move my fingers across the space on the screen so much but just need to work on the mouse and cursors. Cool stuff eh.

The toy is running on Window Mobile 6.0, I am hoping to have Google Android installed instead soon. Leon predicted that Android will be available for i780 within a year’s time. Hopefully sooner, Google, plsss…until then, I am waiting to update to Win Mobile 6.1.

Anyway, my i780 comes with a 4G memory card. Ah, precious space for almost anything. 

I am not giving a technical review..just to “show off” my new toy a lil’. Be jealous, boys…(evil laughter!!)
