Votes from UMNO to Pakatan Rakyat
I got this nice little statitistical data on email this morning…The turnout was almost the same during 308 GE and 826 BE with only 477 voters lesser on 826 BE, but UMNO suffered a greater lost compared to 308! Arif Shah’s vote was 1426 lesser than what UMNO received earlier in March. And Anwar Ibrahim received more than 2000 extra votes compared to Dr. Wan Azizah (PKR) in March. This means, 1) a lot of UMNO supporters and very possibly UMNO members who have defected to support Anwar Ibrahim and the Pakatan cause 2) Arif Shah did not win the support of existing UMNO supporters/members, 3) fence sitters and possibly those who did not vote the last time all pour out their support to Pakatan Rakyat.
The overwhelming majority sent a clear Malaysian message to Putrajaya under Old Man Lah, “Sudah-lah” (Enough).
I heard Khairy SIL Jamaluddin offered to resign his MP seat, or was it after 916 or was it his UMNO post? Well, anything lah, he’ll go sooner or later. This is voice of the Rakyat in Pakatan Rakyat…
