Terengganu Menteri Besar, Dato’ Ahmad Said who was “rumoured” to have spent more than RM5mil to secure the top spot of the 12th SUKMA held in Terengganu last month did it again!

Exco Terengganu dapat Mercedes ganti Perdana V6

KUALA TERENGGANU 19 Julai – Kerajaan Terengganu membelanjakan kira-kira RM3.43 juta bagi membeli 14 buah Mercedes E200 Kompressor untuk menggantikan Proton Perdana V6 Executive sebagai kenderaan rasmi ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri (Exco) dan pegawai kanan kerajaan negeri.

Rakyat is now increasingly suffering from the sudden and extorbitant increase of fuel price due to Barisan Nasional’s arbitrary fuel policy, but the Ahmad guy is rewarding his merry men, all 14 of them, each a Mercedes E class at the cost of RM3.43 million in total (Ahmad is already being chauffered in a Mercedes).

Ahmad defended the move to change the state 4-year-old Perdana’s (executive sedan by national car producer) with the E200 Kompressors by saying that the repair cost for Perdana’s is too high - are you questioning on the quality and service of Proton? Old Man Lah, dengar tak? No wonder you didn’t want this kampung boy…

Anyway, compare that to Hero Rakyat Pulau Pinang, Mr. Lim Guan Eng earlier in March (from the same BN Government propaganda machine):

Pulau Pinang batal beli kereta kegunaan Exco

PULAU PINANG 26 Mac – Ketua Menteri Pulau Pinang, Lim Guan Eng berkata mesyuarat Exco negeri hari ini sebulat suara bersetuju untuk membatalkan pembelian lima buah kereta Proton Perdana V6 untuk kegunaan anggota Exco kerajaan negeri.

Lim berkata, pembatalan pembelian kereta yang berjumlah RM623,000 itu adalah sebagai langkah untuk perbelanjaan berhemah seperti yang telah diputuskan oleh mesyuarat Exco minggu lepas.

Difahamkan lima buah kereta itu dibeli semasa pemerintahan kerajaan Barisan Nasional (BN).

And Ahmad seemed to be happy with his justification that he didn’t spend the oil royalty money but the Mercedes were bought with money from the state coffer.

What bull you talking about Ahmad? My Hero Rakyat Chief Minister didn’t have the heart to spend even RM600k of the People’s money, and you spent RM3.43 mil smilling and excusing yourself with this nonsense defence.

RM3.43 million…hmpf…Terengganu, sedarlah.

For the record, Penang’s 12th SUKMA expenditure was just about RM1 mil, one of the lowest.
