Opening of Hainan Loh Kopitiam(0)

I first ate at Pak Hainan Kopitiam (Hainan Loh) in Alor Setar. It was really good, the black Hainanese coffee and their curry chicken rice. I mean their chicken rice is way above the other Shop named after the dish. And their kopi O (local black coffee) is, in my opinion, better than the Ipoh [...]

Yahala!(0)

Yahala - We must bring them down! (D’Leh, from the movie 10,000 B.C.)
Peaceful protest by the Rakyat against Old Man Lah’s haphazard and arbitrary petrol policy - 7 June 08, 5pm, Sungai Dua toll plaza.

Islam Hadhari: Banned(0)

Regarding Pakatan States, Selangor and Penang’s ban on Islam Hadhari, I have wanted to write something but I think Farish Noor spoke my mind too well…I mean, he is the scholar after all, not me.
Enjoy…

Where is Jesus Christ?(0)

Josh asked a weird question, a question we probably take for granted most of the time: Where is Jesus Christ?
And he tied in the question to the eucharist (lit. “good gift”). Where is Jesus Christ? He is in the bread and wine.
Presence is more than physical. It is probably nearer to sex the way Josh had [...]

Does it mean you get to come to my office and look into my drawers: Penang folk get access to gov’t documents (excerpt below)?
I am looking forward to more CAT policies, especially on competency because if our CM’s vision is to lead Penang to be on par with Singapore, then there are a lot [...]

Reminiscence of Terengganu(0)

SUKMA 12 has ended…
Penang got 8th placing. 27 golds. Not unexpected but I didn’t think we will do more than 6th. Some blame it on the participation of national athletes this time around. But for me, it’s time for active reflection about our sports management. Post mortem before the end of this month…
But before that [...]

Terengganu Lagi(0)

I’ll be flying to Terengganu in a three hours time. The orginal flight was supposed to be 9.35 am but was postponed to 11.05am. But nothing to complain, FireFlyz. It’s cheap, fast and seriously, inflight service was reasonably good despite having only two cabin on the Penang-Kuala Terengganu route.
Had some photos to post, but I’ll [...]

Good Man, Weak Party(3)

I have heard Dr. Tan before and I think he’s a good man, known especially to have defended religious freedom, at times even against UMNO in Parliament. But he was dropped from the March 8th election by Gerakan. Well, good man weak Party…that’s what you’ll get.
And the recent Kah Choon/Kwee Kong Pakatan Rakyat (PR) appointment [...]
