Words are more treacherous and powerful than we think - Jean-Paul Sartre

Give Us Voice to Cry

Almighty God,
Give us voice to cry.
Help us to pray.

We look to you, in times like this,
For mercy and for grace
How can we even hope in goodness in face with such rampant evils.
And these evils only served as a mirror to ourselves
A reminder that our hearts are as depraved, if not worse.

Our hearts, helpless and weak
Cry out to you.
Sometimes voiceless, sometimes, most of the times
Full of the angry words from within
Words of hatred and vengence.

Yet we know, each time we look at evil and sins
Each time we experience sorrow and sufferings,
We are reminded, again and again
By the sometimes small voice of your Spirit
Of the audacity, of the tremendous injustice, unspeakable evil done to your Son,
Our Lord Jesus Christ.

He took on himself
The weight of sin
He faced and confronted
Evil at its worst.
And instead of being crushed,
He crushed sin
Instead of being defeated,
He exhaust evil and defeated it.

There was the Prince of Peace
Hangin bloody on the tree
There was the True King
helpless and meek.

May we learn his way
The way of everlasting peace.
May we seek his face
The face of restorative justice
May we know him and love him,
The embodiment of Truth,
The Truth which sets us free

May your loving fatherly arms
Welcome Ps. Bae into your holy presence
May your comforting Spirit
comforts the family and loved ones of the deceased.
May your mighty strong hands
guard and protect the hostages of the Talibans
Of whatever nationality.
May your lovingkindness
So overwhelmed the Talibans
To give up their agenda
And follow yours.

God have mercy,
Lord have mercy.

Namo Tassa Christaya.
